Singapore: Day 3: Sentosa

I had fun in Sentosa. Being there felt like having peace on earth. Almost. With the exception of the weather. Sentosa is a small island near mainland Singapore—not that Singapore isn't an island already. It's tiny. Before going there, I didn't know what to expect. When we got out of the train, we were greeted with an impossible large statue of The Merlion. I wanted to hug it and worship it. Really, so cute, and yet, so regal. Can I please take it home with me? Pretty pretty please?

Anywayyyy, Sentosa is beautiful, with the exception of the tourist restaurants *coughSubwaycough* and other tourist things. I love gardens and it made me want to live there. The heat and humidity wasn't lost here (I don't think Singapore could ever be without humidity), but it was a sight to behold nevertheless. I had the most fun here, but of course, company is everything, and I had wonderful company also.

I was disappointed to not be able to visit the second location of Sentosa. My trip was cut short due to my cousin changing that day's dinner time to an hour earlier. Sadly, I never got to visit the other place before my trip ended.

I didn't go to the one here or there, so I can't say. So many things to do, so little time!

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun! I am jealous, I haven't been traveling much... I usually get in a car and go... A car can only go so far, lol.

I don't travel that much either. I can understand why. It's not so glorious as one might think. Expensive. Inconvenient. Tedious (the traveling from here to there). And as happy as we look, we were quite suffering from the weather.

Eh, I like to think the experience outweighs the inconvenience... But to each their own. I'm so ready for warm weather! This cold weather makes me blue. :( I suppose you are grateful for the break from sweltering weather though. :)

Yup, the experience is well worth it. I think it would be really cool if we could land a job there. The country is beautiful and everyone speaks English!

Re: When peacocks ATTACK!
Thanks, love! I love taking nature photography. I'd rather suffer the bad weather and take nature photography than take indoors photos.
