I've been finding it really hard to consume the right amount of calories per day. I usually fall way below the amount of calories needed to maintain my weight, so obviously I'm finding it hard to gain weight. My goal is to gain 5-10 lbs., but I can't seem to pull it off.

I know it's mostly my fault. I skip breakfast because I'd rather not eat and get to sleep in for 15 more minutes than wake up a bit early and eat breakfast, but I also haven't been feeling like I want to eat. And when I do feel like eating, l only crave cupcakes and junk food, and then I resist the temptation to eat because I know those food are bad for me. Perhaps the worst part is the fact that I get full too fast. It feels like my stomach can barely hold one sandwich in before it says, "Sorry, dude, I need a time out."

Oh dear *hugs*

I do sleep in every weekend Sat and end up skipping breakfast (which makes my mom's face turn red gawd I hate it when she starts yellin')...

Holy smokes. Your mom gets really mad at you for skipping breakfast? Mine isn't home most of the time to know I don't eat breakfast, but when she does know, she doesn't get angry, just disappointed. I guess i should eat more. I remember when I was eating three full meals a day at the same time each day, I got less pimples. But life in the US is mostly rush rush. There really isn't time to do anything.

oh whoa, that bad? Yea sucks that when you have no time to even do your own stuff! and yea cuz my mom goes out early to buy breakfast food every Saturday so when no one eats it, she feels like she has wasted time buying them and eventually gets mad...

Haha, lol, I can understand that! My mom gets mad all the time when we don't eat the food she made, but it's hard to eat them all when she makes a whole bunch of stuff and I'm the only one eating it (my dad is a vegetarian so he doesn't eat our food and my mom works all day so she doesn't eat food at home).

Maybe you could try eating a multivitamin? That probably doesn't help with the weight gain, but at least you will be getting the proper nutrients you should be.

That's a really good idea. I probably should have thought of that before. I can only hope that I'll be able to remember to take them each day. I have so many that my parents got for me that's stowed away in some dark corner.

Off the subject: Did you know that vermicelli has an INSANE amount of calories in it? I didn't know this until this program that logs all my food intake told me. I'm still wondering how Asians can eat so much of those stuff and still not get fat.
