My laptop is old. The processor has been obsolete for a year. My RAM was upgraded to 1GB, but that's far from enough. I can't even run Illustrator on this laptop. So I spent the last 10 hours installing and uninstalling the whole suite (3 times uninstalling and 2 times installing, 2 hours each install and uninstall), but so far, I have yet to solve a thing. In fact, more problems seem to breed from this. Now both Illustrator and InDesign won't launch as well as Fireworks. I'm currently uninstalling the whole suite again. I don't know how much more of this I can deal with before I throw this useless piece of crap out the window and quit school (since I absolutely need these programs to do homework).
I wish I could apply for a Juniper Visa Card so I can make small monthly payments, but I already have enough credit cards and getting another one that will only give me points for iTunes isn't very appealing, but there doesn't seem to be any other way. If I can't make small payments, I won't be able to afford a new computer until I'm 25. This is quite a dilemma. If all else fails, I'll have to charge it to my regular credit card account and watch the interest grow and deal with being in debt.
